MPMF 2030' - My Planet My Future

The first edition of My Planet My Future Exhibition was held at UNHQ from 10th July to 5th September 2018 to coincide with UN High Level Political Forum 2018. This was the joint initiative of UNOOSA & CANEUS.

The Exhibit was inaugurated by Amina Mohammed, United Nations Deputy Secretary-General in the presence of Simonetta Di Pippo, UNOOSA Director, Pierre Delsaux, Deputy Director General at the European Commission's Directorate General for the Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium Enterprises, Carlo des Dorides, Executive Director of the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems Agency, Milind Pimprikar, CANEUS International and Jagdish Patankar, Director and Principal Architect/Lead, MPMF Exhibit.

The purpose of this exhibit was to create awareness about the significance of Space Science & Technology to serve the UN 2030 Agendas. Thus the exhibit showcased real case studies from around the world contributed by leading Space Agencies and organisations focused on Sustainable development Goals 6, 7, 11, 12 15 and 17. The exhibit was viewed by over 200000 visitors consists of diplomats and ministers representing 190+ countries, business leaders, NGOs, funding agencies that are part of the Global Compact and space enthusiasts.

The success of MPMF exhibition has paved the way for "MPMF 2030' which will be a travelling exhibit covering strategic locations and occasions worldwide right upto the year 2030. It is conceptualised and developed to address UN 2030 Agendas. MPMF 2030 the revolving exhibit will be rolled out during the COPUOS session at Vienna in June 2019.

The exhibit will continue to evolve depicting newer case studies, showcase new models, displays and AV highlighting how leading space agencies and organisations across the world are applying space science and technology for meeting the 17 SDGs.
